Whether you are a fan of football or not, we all know that football fans are the most dedicated, and loyal to their players and their teams. Just last weekend Las Cruces witnessed the 50th anniversary rivalry game between two high schools. Bad weather did not stop the fans, the game that divides the city began to take on Friday night, and due to hail, and rain it was canceled to be continued the following day. I have been attending this game since I was 16, and every year it amazes me the popularity of the game. How the tradition of attending this game is passed on to our little one, and even though they do not attend either school, they must be loyal to their parents team.

I am a huge football fan, whether it is local teams, college, or NFL teams I enjoy the intensity of the game. My favorite NFL team, as I have mentioned in other posts, is the Arizona Cardinals. One of my favorite players if Larry Fitzgerald, not only is he a great player but he is a great person. While living in Arizona I had the privilege of meeting him at a public place, and the guy is truly down to earth. The team is struggling this season, with a record or 3 wins, 4 loses, and 1 tie but I would not be a true fan if I did not say that I believe my team can redeem itself and make it to the Superbowl. This is exactly what football fans do, believe in the possible success of their teams and maintain loyalty no matter what happens.
Another form of true football fans are those parents whose children play football. As parents we believe in our childrens talent, and feel pride in seeing them put their effort in the field just because they know we are watching. For some parents it is essential to support their child in every practice, and every game. My son played football at the age of 8, and every game he played was a true amazing experience for me. It was better than watching any NFL game on tv, or attending a college football game.
Some people are fans of soccer, baseball, or basketball but football is the best! I loose my mind every season, in fact I stopped watching football for the reason that it was giving me ulcers. The intensity of it, as I have learned anything can happen in football. Just when you think you have the cat in the bag, it gets out and the worst can happen or vise versa your team can be on the bottom and rise to top in a matter of minutes. I love the intensity of the game!!!
